Master Sergeant Olin Johnson O’Quinn, United States Air Force (Ret.), affectionately known as “Johnny”, age 81, entered into rest eternal Sunday afternoon, December 27, 2015, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Yemassee while under the care of Agape Hospice.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 o’clock Thursday morning, December 31, 2015, at Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 925 Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro. Fr. Antony Benjamine, Celebrant.
The family will receive friends following the funeral mass in Trinity Hall.

Born November 2, 1934, in Early Branch area of Hampton County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late James Horace O’Quinn and the late Lyda Elizabeth Hiott O’Quinn. He served our country faithfully in the United States Navy for four years prior to transferring into the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant after a combined twenty-six years of active duty service. Johnny was well known for his strong work ethic, following his time in active duty, he worked at Bluff Plantation for twenty years, where he retired as Manager. He then worked for Whitehall Plantation for a short period of time before working in Ravenel for Dr. Bradham, one of the former owners of Bluff Planation. He was a member of Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Walterboro. He will always be remembered for his avid love for fishing as well as his passion for reading.
Surviving are: his loving and devoted wife of fifty-seven years, Mrs. Corinne O’Quinn; four children, Lori Ann O’Quinn of Youngstown, Florida, Elizabeth O’Quinn Minemier and her husband Todd of Irmo, Shelly O’Quinn Humphries and her husband John of Columbia, and Scott Matthew O’Quinn of Yemassee; four brothers, Jimmy O’Quinn of Timmonsville, Tommy O’Quinn of Walterboro, Joe O’Quinn of Torrance, California, and Mack O’Quinn of Walterboro; and a sister, Yvonne John of Dover, Delaware. There are four grandchildren, Clark, Luke, Sam, and Emerson; and a great grandchild, McKenzie. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred.
