Johnny Dixon

Mr. John Michael Dixon, 64, of Bluebird Lane, Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his residence.

Born March 1, 1949 in Greensboro, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Stamey Davis Dixon and Billie Fairybell Fowler Dixon. John was an excellent husband, father and grandfather, who was the ultimate teacher of life’s lessons, always guiding his children with a strong hand. He was a very strong and proud man who believed in keeping his word. He was a “universal dad” who touched many hearts as a father figure and mentor.

Surviving are: his wife, Kathy Faye O’Brien Dixon of Walterboro; children, Kelly Nigro of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Michael Dixon and his wife Davona of Acworth, Georgia, Melyssa Barbone and her husband Andrew of Stratford, New Jersey, Kevin Rolfs of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Brian Rolfs of Walterboro, and Jennifer Corbin and her husband Tyrone of Varnville; and 9 grandchildren.
