Mr. John Charles “Johnny” Clark, Jr., 52, of Smoaks, entered into rest Saturday afternoon, March 9, 2024, as a result of injuries sustained during an accident in Colleton County.
Born September 22, 1971, in Syracuse, New York, he was the son of Mrs. Sue Ellen Smith Clark and the late Mr. John Charles Clark, Sr. He was a truck driver and possessed a strong and loyal work ethic and known by fellow drivers as "Big Bird". He was a member of Coosawhatchie Baptist Church. He will always be remembered for his love of motorcycles as well as fishing and being on his boat. He was always a jokester and enjoyed telling stories and playing practical jokes.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Walterboro are: his wife, Bethany Bolin Clark; children, Brittnay Clark and Jessica Clark; Bethany’s two children, Zoey Garris and D.W. Garris; a sister, JoAnne Crosby and her husband Paul of Walterboro and their children, Heather Newman, Trey Crosby, Brianna Branch, and Abigail Stanfill; two grandchildren; his mother and father-in-law, Rea Bolin and David Bolin.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, March 23, 2024, from the graveside in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro.
