Johnnie Sue Sinclair, 85, of Varnville, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the home of her daughter in Varnville, under the care of Crescent Hospice.

Born November 7, 1940, in Bamberg County, she was a daughter of the late Lee Brown and Gertie Manuel Brown. Johnnie Sue retired from Westinghouse after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed traveling, working in her yard, and tending to her flower garden. She especially cherished spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tammie Sinclair and Sandra (Billy) Altman, both of Varnville; four grandchildren, Allen McMillan, Tracy McMillan, Mitchell (Amanda) Altman, and Shelby (Matthew) Artibey; and four great grandchildren, Gavin Altman, Aubrey Altman, Sawyer Artibey, and Wyatt Artibey. Johnnie Sue came from a very large family and was the last living of eleven siblings.

A memorial service will be held 1 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, April 9, 2026, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation following the service.
