Mr. Johnnie Clifton Carrigg, 79, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 21, 2015. He was the husband of the late Aletha Kennerly Carrigg.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm, Saturday, January 24, 2015 in Bedon Baptist Church, 2410 Cottageville Highway, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, 2720 Broughton Street, Orangeburg, South Carolina 29118.

Born May 26, 1935 in Bamberg County, he was the son of the late Charles Henry Carrigg and Jeannette Ida Fogle Carrigg. He served his country faithfully in the United States Navy, serving aboard the USS Mount Whitney, and retired after 20 years of service. He was a member of Bedon Baptist Church, was a former member of Woodmen of the World, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are: a special niece, Letha Bell Carrigg Pratt and her husband Kenneth of Walterboro; a great niece, Christie Moss of Cottageville; a great great nephew, Hunter Moss of Cottageville; as well as several other nieces and nephews.
