Johnathan Lee Smith

Mr. Johnathan Lee Smith, 45, of Varnville, entered into rest Wednesday morning, November 26, 2025, at his residence.

Born March 1, 1980, in Hampton County, South Carolina, he was the son of Karen Brunson Hiott and the late Thomas Smith. He worked in construction and will always be remembered for his love of arrowhead hunting and riding in the boat.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Varnville are: a daughter, Brayden Smith; a sister, Ashley Bryan (Jim0; and three nephews, Ethan (Amber) Payton (Mackenzie), and Noah. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Steve Hiott.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, December 7, 2025, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The family will visit with friends following the funeral service.
