Mr. John Dale Vinczi, 73, of Ruffin, entered into rest Friday evening, August 8, 2025, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.
Born January 15, 1952, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Stephen John Vinczi and the late Wilhelmina Benton Vinczi. John retired following a long and dedicated career at Dayco in Walterboro. He loved car shows and was a gun enthusiast. He will always be remembered for the love he possessed for his family that he always demonstrated in his own loving way. Lastly, John will always be memorialized for his hot wings that only he could fix in a certain fashion that became legendry.
Surviving are: his wife of fifty years, Mrs. Jancie Benton Vinczi; two daughters, Mandy Janese Vinczi Lohrenz of Walterboro and Shana Vinczi Lyle and her husband Ryan of Hendersonville; two brothers, Stevie Vinczi of Ruffin and Dale Vinczi of Lexington; and two grandchildren, Coldin and Adalee Lyle; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Patrick Ray Lohrenz; and a sister, June V. Smoak.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in his memory to the following: Shiloh Baptist Church, 10565 Lowcountry Highway, Ruffin, South Carolina, 29475; or to, Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter, 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 o’clock Saturday morning, August 16, 2025, from Shiloh Baptist Church, 10565 Lowcountry Highway, Ruffin. Pastor Ricky Crosby and Pastor Bruce Fox officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
