Mr. John Albert Cole, 54, of 323 Hayden Street, Walterboro, entered into his state of eternal rest Tuesday afternoon, April 27, 2010, at his residence under the care of Winyah Hospice.



Funeral services will be conducted 3 oclock Saturday afternoon, May 1, 2010, from Pine Grove Baptist Church, 99 Pine Grove Road, Walterboro with The Reverend Ken McCaskill officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard.



Mr. Cole was born April 2, 1956, in Bay County, Florida and was a son of Mrs. Bonnie June Gills Cole and the late Albert Ernest Cole, II. He was a retired coal miner and a crane operator. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church No. 1 and will be fondly remembered for his love of fishing and the joy his grandchildren brought to his life.



Surviving are: his wife: Mrs. Patricia Whitehair Cole; two daughters, Tiffany Scott and her husband Grant of Walterboro and Bonnie Cole of Walterboro; a brother, Frazier Cole and his wife Suzanne of Walterboro; and four sisters, Teresa Bell and her husband Gene of Walterboro, Tonia Parks and her husband David of Lester, West Virginia, Chloe Mullens and her husband David of Coal City, West Virginia, and Linda Eley and her husband Greg of Myrtle Beach. There are two grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Scott and Vada Whittington as well as two brothers-in-law, Michael Whitehair and his wife Patricia of Beckley, West Virginia and Timothy Whitehair and his wife Barbara of Mount Hope, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Mary Way.
