Joey Belger

Joseph Joey H. Belger, Jr., age 51, of Grove City, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. He was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina on February 17, 1959, to Joseph Joe H. Belger, Sr. and Dorothy Ann McMillan Belger. Joey was a 1977 graduate of Henry County High School in Paris, Tennessee. He attended Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky and Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina. Joey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paris, Tennessee, attended Grace Brethren Church, and was an active member of AA for many years. He enjoyed contemporary Christian music and playing the drums.



Survivors include: his father, Joe Belger; brother, Greg Belger; sister, Stacey (Jim Burgess) Bayliff; nieces and nephews, Case Belger, Nate Bayliff, Emily Bayliff and Julie Burgess; cousins, Bob McMillan, Kathy McMillan, Corley McMillan, Mark McMillan and their families; and his beloved cat, Angel. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Ehrhardt Baptist Church. Inurnment will follow in the Ehrhardt Cemetery.
