Mr. Joseph Samuel Folk, Sr., 68, of Ehrhardt, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Bamberg County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 oclock, Friday, February 11, 2011 at Ehrhardt Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Folk was born September 10, 1942 in Colleton County and was a son of the late Samuel and Aline Williamson Folk. He was a former employee of Westinghouse and served his country in the United States Navy. He loved fishing and listening to country music.
Surviving are: his wife, Minnie Franklin Folk of Ehrhardt; son, Joseph Samuel Folk, Jr. of Ehrhardt; grandchildren, Crystal Ackerman, Tiffany Hiers, Haley Smith, Mikayla Folk and Brittany Folk, all of Ehrhardt; great grandchildren, Riley and Bailey Ackerman; sisters, Ann F. Beard of Ehrhardt and Brenda F. Stanley of Hampton; brothers, David Folk and Jimmy Folk, both of Ehrhardt. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Ann Folk; and a brother, Bobby Folk.
