Mr. Jobe Tyler Padgett, 85, of Smoaks, entered into eternal rest Friday afternoon, April 4, 2025, at his residence.
Born November 3, 1939, in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Tyler Padgett and Althea Coleman Padgett. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army and retired from Westinghouse as a treater operator, where he worked for 40 years. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are: his wife of 67 years, Emma Virginia Smith Padgett of Smoaks; children, Kay Eustace and her husband Mark of Walterboro and Todd Padgett and his wife Sabrina of Padgetts; brother, James Gary Padgett of Smoaks; sister, Sara Ann Barnes of Smoaks; grandchildren, Tiffany Lewis, Ashley Gonzalez, and Landon Hudson; and great grandchildren, Paisley Cheek, Lainey Cheek, Sydney Gonzalez, Landon Gonzalez, and Magnolia Hudson.
Graveside services will be held 10 o’clock, Tuesday morning, April 8, 2025, at Smoaks Baptist Church Cemetery, 441 Lodge Highway, Smoaks.
