Mrs. Joan Marie Presley, 74, of Round O, entered into her state of eternal rest Saturday afternoon, July 24, 2010, at her residence under the care of Hospice Care of South Carolina.
A celebration of her life will be conducted 11 oclock Wednesday morning, July 28, 2010, from Cottageville Baptist Church, 11643 Cottageville Highway, Cottageville, with The Reverend Jessie Jerkins officiating.
The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony at the church.
Mrs. Presley was born October 24, 1935, in Knoxville, Tennessee, and was a daughter of the late William John Watson and the late Amanda Evelyn Whaley Watson. She was a retired certified employment consultant as well as having worked in the hotel industry for fifteen years. She was a member of Cottageville Baptist Church and was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She will be fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her family and others.
Surviving are: her husband: Mr. Robert Francis Presley; two sons, Jeff Carnes of Round O and John Carnes of Fort Collins, Colorado; four daughters, Janet Fox of Crofton, Maryland, Tonia McDonald of Cottageville, Teresa Wheeler of Summerville, and Jeanine Petit of Ravenel; and step-daughter, Donna Presley of Santa Monica, California. There are sixteen grandchildren, Christian, Ashley, Brandy, Jeremy, Tommy, Chris, and Andy Metcalfe, Kiokee, Alex, Stephen, and Katrina Carnes, Curtis, Jr., Kenny, Sarah, and Karen Fox, and Alexandria Presley; as well as nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
