Jimmy Carroll, Sr.

Jimmy Gilmore Carroll, Sr., 82, of Walterboro, entered into his eternal reward from God Sunday, October 30, 2022, after fighting a long illness. He departed with dignity and peace while at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Jimmy was a man of strong faith who never wavered in his conviction that God was in control of all.  His work ethic and commitment to providing for his family is an enduring example of faith in action. Rest in peace Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather.

Jimmy was born to the late Herman Gilmore Carroll and the late Dorothy Rhudell Easterlin of Meggett, SC.  He goes ahead of his wife of 64 years, Brenda Lovett Muckenfuss Carroll; brother, Danny Marvin Carroll; and sister, Dell Marie Carroll Garvin.  His children are: Jimmy Gilmore Carroll Jr., Timothy Lee Carroll, Sharon Lynette Carroll Crall and Pamela Gay Carroll Brockway.  He was richly blessed with fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Andy Christopher Carroll.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 in the morning, November 2, 2022, at the Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel, 1193 Bells Highway, Walterboro, SC.  Interment will following at First Baptist Church of Ravenel, 5987 Highway 165, Ravenel, SC.  The family will receive friends for a time of visitation prior to the service at 10:30.
