Jimmy Hiers

Mr. Jimmy Julius Hiers, 56, of Lodge, entered into rest Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Colleton Medical Center.

Born October 17, 1962 in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Harold Bowen Hiers, Sr. and Gertrude Raymond Hiers.  He was a job Foreman and tree climber for Trees, Inc.  Jimmy was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who was always willing to help out in any way that he could.  He was dearly loved by his family and friends.

Surviving are: his wife, Joann Craven Hiers of Lodge; children, Jimmy B. Hiers of Lodge, Rhonda M. Hiers of Cottageville, Sharee L. Hiers of Lodge, and Cody L. Hiers of Lodge; grandchildren, Mackie Sexton, Tara Sexton, Koby Sexton, Savannah Norris, and Kenneth Norris; brother, Bobby Lee Hiers of Walterboro; sisters, Vera Cole of Lodge and June Zahler of Varnville; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold “Bubba” Hiers and Billy Hiers.

A graveside service will be held at 3 pm, Friday, October 5, 2018 at Carters Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.
