Mr. Jimmy Douglas Cain, 80, of Orange Park, Florida entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 17, 2018.

Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held at 2:00pm, Monday afternoon, January 22, 2018, Ackerman Cemetery at Red Oak Road, Cottageville, SC.

Born March 12, 1937 in Asheboro, North Carolina and was residing in Orange Park, Florida.  Jimmy was a loving family man who retired from the United States Navy.  Jimmy worked for Michael’s in custom framing and taught customers how to do calligraphy.  When he worked in the photo department at Walmart, he also taught customers to use digital photography, when film was switching to digital.  Jimmy also had the honor to meet his favorite movie star John Wayne.  Jimmy and John rode in a helicopter that Jimmy was working on during one of John Wayne’s movies.  Jimmy said, “He met the Duke”.    He also loved his Jacksonville Jaguars.


Mr. Cain is survived by his son, Mark Douglas Cain; 2 grandchildren, Alexa Cherith Taylor (Benjie) and Jordan Christopher Cain (Kristi);  great grandchildren, Rebecca  Renea Cain (1 year old), Greg Taylor (8 years old), Joel Taylor (3 years old) and Nate Taylor (1 month old) and his brother John Steven Cain.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn Cain, who passed away in 2000 and a sister, Infant Cain, who passed away when she was a baby.
