Jimmie Parham

Cottageville, South Carolina

Mr. Jimmie Dean Parham, 79, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest, Saturday, June 29, 2024, at his residence.

Born March 11, 1945, in Knox County, Indiana, he was a son of the late Floyd Parham and Lola Riggle Parham.  Jimmie served his country faithfully in the United States Navy, having retired after 22 years.  During his Navy career, he received many medals and commendations including the Good Conduct Medal, Navy Pistol Medal-Sharpshooter, Navy Pistol Medal-Expert, Naval Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.  He also attended Pensacola Junior College and Florida State Police Academy.  While in the Navy he served as a Game Warden in Florida as well as the Military Police.  Jimmie loved his country and loved serving in the military.

Surviving are: his children, Terri Sutterfield and her husband Doug of Farmersville, Texas and Justin Parham and his wife Stephanie of Cottageville; grandchildren, John Sutterfield, Rachel Sutterfield, Elyse Stubbins, Zachary Sutterfield, Jessa Bennett, Jared Parham, Ava Parham, Hailey Sarcinella, Emma Sarcinella, and Bentley Parham; great grandchildren, Bryson, Alexander, Aidan, KK, Chloe, Analeigh, Dominic, and Gabriel; brother, Eddie Floyd Parham of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two sons, William Patrick Parham and Jacob Joshua “Bubba” Parham; and brothers, Gerald “Dilbert” Parham and Norman “Tuffy” Parham.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Friday morning, July 12, 2024, at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetary Road, Pensacola, Florida.
