Mrs. Jewell Ann Sampson, 68, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Wednesday evening, April 15, 2026, at her residence.
Born August 30, 1957, in Elliott County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Theodore McDavid and Pearl Mobley McDavid. She was a retired long distance truck driver. She was a faithful member of St. George Church of Christ where she was active in the women’s prayer group. She was an excellent seamstress and cook, but most of all, she centered her life around her family and those she loved.
Surviving are: her husband of 37 years, Warren Sampson of Walterboro; her daughter, Calista Williams and her husband Evan of St. George; grandchildren, Evan Williams and Easton Williams; and siblings, James, Elmer, Bill, Linda and Carolyn. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa.
Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock Saturday morning, April 18, 2026, from St. George Church of Christ, 767 Highway 15 North, St. George. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel, Walterboro. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral ceremony Saturday morning beginning at 10 o’clock in the church Sanctuary.
