Mr. Jerome Benjamin Altman, 58, of Altman Road, Hampton, died Sunday, January 30, 2011.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Thursday, February 3, 2011 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in Crocketville Cemetery.
Mr. Altman was born October 1, 1952 in Colleton County and was a son of the late John E. Altman, Jr. and Virginia Cope Altman. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a retired auto body mechanic and will be remembered for the love he had for his family and most especially for his dogs.
Surviving are: his daughters, Melissa Altman Teems and her husband Davin of Barnwell and Jessica Altman of Hampton; granddaughter, Kadence Teems; and many aunts, uncles and other relatives.
