Jeffrey Bennett Carroll

August 14, 1956 - January 8, 2013

Mr. Jeffrey Bennett Carroll, 56, of Walterboro, entered into his eternal rest Tuesday evening, January 8, 2013, at Zion House in Walterboro.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, January 11, 2013, from the graveside at Evergreen Christian Church Cemetery, Bells Highway, Walterboro.

Born August 14, 1956, a native of Colleton County, he was a son of the late James Flake Carroll and the late Betty Ann Bennett Carroll. Jeffrey was an outdoors man, who was a farmer and cattleman at heart. He was the former owner of Trees Unlimited in Walterboro and was also a meat cutter having been employed by the former Big Star in Walterboro and Winn Dixie. He was a avid hunter and will be remembered for the love he possessed for his family.

He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Joyce McDonald Stephens, and is survived by her children whom he loved as his own, Rodney Stephens and Denise Urseth and her husband Kenny. He is also survived by special cousins, Charles and Rhonda McLaughlin of Walterboro as well as many dear and very loved cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy F. Carroll; three uncles, Woodrow Bennett, Shealy Bennett, and Henry Harter; and an aunt, Dorothy Bennett.
