Jeanette Crosby

December 29, 1937 — June 10, 2017

Mrs. Jeanette Crosby, age 79, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, June 10, 2017, at her daughter’s home.  She was the wife of the late, Charles Edward Crosby.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 o’clock Monday afternoon, June 12, 2017, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.   Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

Born December 29, 1937, in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Perry Oliver Crosby and the late Esther Inez Stanfield Crosby Bazzle.  She was a longtime seamstress, having in earlier years, worked with Smoaks Manufacturing.  She will always be remembered for the love she had for gardening and flowers as well as the talent she possessed as a great Southern cook, being especially known for her coconut pie and lemon meringue pies.  She had attended Mount Carmel United Methodist Church.  She had a special love for her grandsons, Dexter Robertson and Justin Robertson.

Surviving are: her children, Pam Robertson and her husband Tim of Walterboro, Terry Bazzle and his wife Melanie of Florida, Pearl Louise Crosby of Walterboro, Howell Martin “Butch” Crosby, III and his wife Von of Wagner; a brother, Charles Bazzle of Walterboro; two sisters, Pearl Brabham and Doris Morrall both of Walterboro; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends during a time of visitation Sunday evening, from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock at  THE BRICE W.
