Mrs. Jean Tisler Preston, 79, of Round O passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Trident Medical Center. She was the widow of Larry Dean Preston.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Gruber Cemetery, Round O.
Born July 22, 1937 in Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Joseph R. Tisler and Evelyn Hull Tisler. She retired from Roper Hospital where she had worked in the Admissions Office. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother.
Surviving are: her children, Loretta Jean Strupper and her husband Roderick of Walterboro and Kyle Edward Preston and his wife Cynthia of Round O; brother, Gary Tisler and his wife Daryel of Texas; sisters, Sharon Dedrick and Evelyn Lumen and her husband Bud, all of Ohio; sisters-in-law, Tess Tisler of Ohio and Jan Tisler of Florida; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughters, Deborah Suzanne Hooper and Cynthia Louise Bustamante.
