Jason Woods

Jason Allen Woods, 38, of Aiken, South Carolina, left this world on eagles’ wings on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Isaiah 40:29-31.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm, Friday, November 7, 2014 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in Hampton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Jason was born in Augusta, Georgia on October 8, 1976. He graduated from Barnwell High School and attended the University of South Carolina and Johnson and Wales University. He was a true GAMECOCK fan.

Survivors include: his parents, Etta Catherine Woods of Blackville, South Carolina and W. Allen Woods (Becky) of Edisto Island, South Carolina; his precious daughter, Ella Catherine Woods, her brother, Evan Armstrong and their mother, Melissa Cash Armstrong of Aiken, South Carolina; maternal grandmother, Nell Parker of North Augusta; great-aunt, Elizabeth “Peg” Woods of Hampton, South Carolina; and many beloved cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, L.D. Parker; paternal grandparents, Doris Bowers Woods Bishop and Wilfred Harding Woods; and paternal step-grandfather, Walter Hugo Bishop.

Jason was greatly loved by his step-brother and step-sisters, Tripp and Lindsay Ewers, Ashley Hyer and Mimi Solomon and their families.
