Mrs. Janet Lindsay Croley, 71, of 20399 Augusta Highway, Round O, entered into her state of eternal rest, Sunday morning, November 29, 2009, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro following a long and extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted 7 oclock Thursday evening, December 3, 2009, from the Walterboro Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1035 Dandridge Road, Walterboro, conducted by President Leon Bryan.
Mrs. Croley was born October 29, 1938, in Idaho Falls, Idaho and was a daughter of the late Ira Leonard Lindsay and the late Evron Kinghorn Lindsay. She worked for many years with the Department of Social Services where she retired as a secretary. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Walterboro Branch where she was a member and past president of the Relief Society. She will be fondly remembered for her love and brilliant talent with crafts.
Surviving are: her husband of forty-nine years, Chief Petty Officer Robert Lee Bob Croley, United States Navy, Ret.; a son, King Croley and his wife Jana of Okinawa, Japan; a daughter, Annette Croley Carnahan and her husband Paul of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Douglas Lindsay of Blackfoot, Idaho; and five sisters, Carroll Walker, Colleen Scheid, Nellie Phillips, Jean Mason, and Joan Petersen all of Idaho Falls, Idaho. There are four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
