Jamey Christian Baxley

Mr. Jamey Christian Baxley, 24, of Islandton, passed away at the Medical University of South Carolina, February 10, 2021.  He was married to Mrs. Breanna Lynn Donlon.

Born October 15, 1996, in Beckley, West Virginia, he was the son to Mr. Jamey Levon Baxley and Mrs. Julie Melba Nail Baxley.  Many knew him by his middle name, Christian, but more importantly as the kind and generous person he was and came to be in others lives.  He was the example of the bear hug supreme.  He was goofy as could  be and always played jokes just so he could see you smile and laugh.  He had a major roll with the Reaper's Dungeon, every year for Halloween he’d give you the thrill you came for as the Executioner.  He was very involved and enjoyed his time spent helping build and clean up every yearly event.

His two little kids were his blood, sweat and tears – his everything when it came down to who he really was.  He would melt every time they would call him daddy and he would do anything in his power to make sure they came first.  He had a love for football and pulled for his favorite team, Clemson Tigers.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by: his children, Jonah Baxley and Autumn Baxley; mother-in-law; Keri Curran (Timothy); grandparents; Levon and Dell Baxley, Brenda Nail and Brenda Brown and Robert Curren; a sister, Carrie Baxley; sister-in-laws, Desirae Donlon, Ashley Donlon, Caitlynn Holly and Lacy Ferguson; a brother-in-law, Dominic Donlon; a uncle, Timmy Baxley; and a special cousin Eli Baxley.  He is also survived by numerous aunts, great uncles and aunts and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at five o'clock, Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Walterboro Chapel, by the Reverend Tyler Strange.

A family celebration of life will be held February 20, 2021.  Details will be announce at a later time.
