Mr. James Perry Strickland, affectionately known by all as Jimmy, age 40, of Walterboro, entered into his state of eternal rest Friday afternoon, November 13, 2009, at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 oclock Thursday morning, November 19, 2009, from Northside Christian Church, 200 Northside Drive, Walterboro with The Reverend Jim Stophel officiating.
Mr. Strickland was born October 18, 1969, in Colleton County and was a son of the late Josiah Perry Strickland and the late Kitty Smoak Strickland. He was the owner of J and S Construction Company.
Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Shonda Hicks Strickland; two daughters, Niki Strickland and Holly Strickland both of the home; a sister, Pamela Hiers and her husband Kerry of North Charleston; his grandmother, Mrs. Vergie Jones Smoak of Walterboro; and his maw-in-law, Ms. Deborah Benton of Walterboro. There are several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins as well as a host of other family members that also survive.
