James Slaughter

Mr. James Mitchell Slaughter, 67, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday, April 18, 2025, at Trident Medical Center.

Born November 5, 1957, in Charleston, he was a son of Ann Matthews Runey and the late James Bernard Slaughter.  He was an avid Carolina Gamecock football fan and enjoyed cutting grass and working in the yard.

Surviving are: his wife, Mindy Jo Bass Slaughter of Walterboro; stepmother, Theresa Slaughter and her husband Bobby Orvin of James Island; his twin brother, Tim Slaughter of Charleston; and his mother and stepfather, Ann and Ken Runey of Louisianna.  He was preceded in death by his father; and his sister, Susan Doverman.

Plans for a memorial service will be announced soon.
