Mr. James Edgar Lemacks, Jr., affectionately known by many as Jimmy, age 37, of Ruffin, entered into his state of eternal rest Wednesday morning, June 9, 2010, at his residence under the care of Odyssey Hospice.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 oclock Friday afternoon, June 11, 2010, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Smoak Cemetery, Ruffin.
Mr. Lemacks was born April 17, 1973 in Colleton County and was a son of Mrs. Audrey DeWitt Lemacks and the late James Edgar Lemacks, Sr. He worked in construction. He loved to hunt and fish, and the greatest admiration and joy in his life was his two sons.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Ruffin are: two sons, James Aaron Lemacks and Trevor Allen Lemacks both of the home; two brothers, Randall Edgar Lemacks of Marietta, Georgia and Ray Francis Lemacks of Summerville; and three sisters, Shirley Lemacks Robertson of Walterboro, Ellen Lemacks Garris of Walterboro, and Sheryl Jane Libby of Round O. There are several nieces and nephews that also survive; as well as a special friend, Beverly Ragni of Savannah, Georgia. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mada Dianne Hartley.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Odyssey Hospice and their nurses, Barbara and Alexis for their care and dedication given to Jimmy and his family.
