James Russell Farr, Sr.

Mr. James Russell Farr, Sr., 82, of Ridgeville, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, November 30, 2025, at the Veterans Victory House. He was the husband of the late Diane Turner Farr, to whom he was married 57 years.

Born November 8, 1943, in Charleston, he was a son of the late Wilson Farr and Lois Bockstead Farr. He served his country faithfully in the United States Navy, retiring with over 20 years of service. Mr. Farr was a member of Faith Lutheran Church on Johns Island. He loved fishing, coin and stamp collecting, and loved tending to his gardens.

Surviving are: his children, Mellisa Farr and James Farr, Jr.; grandchildren, Tiffanie Davis, Samuel York, and Myles Everett Davis Farr; great grandchildren, Isabell Davis, Anthony Davis and Amalia York; and a sister, Lois Joy Gough of Texas. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry B. Farr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
