Mr. James Carl Bladh, Jr., affectionately known to everyone as Jimmy, age 59, of 1023 Cromwell Lane, Walterboro, died Thursday morning, January 8, 2009, at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.
Funeral services with Military Honors provided by the United States Navy will be conducted 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, January 13, 2009, from the graveside at Beaufort National Cemetery, 124 Boundry Street, Beaufort.
Mr. Bladh was born August 8, 1949, in Portsmouth, Virginia, and was a son of the late James Carl Bladh, Sr. and the late Wilma Cable Bladh. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was a graduate of Trident Technical College where he received his Associated Degree in Graphic Arts and was the founder and retired owner of Phoenix Power Wash Plus in Walterboro. He will be remembered for his love of watching football games and for fishing.
Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Debbie Bladh; his father and step-mother, James C. Bladh, Sr. and Rosemary Grubb; two daughters, Kelly Elise Bladh and Tracy Dawn Tomberlin both of Bonaire, Georgia; a step-daughter, Heather Michele Murphy of Maderia Beach, Florida; a sister, Patricia Bladh of San Diego, California; and his parents-in-law, Walter Henry Phillips of Marblehead, Massachusetts and Arlene Lee Phillips of Stoneham, Massachusetts. There are two grandchildren, Elizabeth Lee Tomberlin and Aurora Michele Tyson that also survive.
