James Bearden

Mr. James Edward “Eddie” Bearden, 60, of Bamberg, entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 10, 2013 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Bamberg Church of God of Prophecy. Interment will follow in South End Cemetery.

Mr. Bearden was born July 6, 1952 and was a son of Mary Elizabeth Hiott Collins and the late James Rayford Bearden. He was a retired gas technician and attended Bamberg Church of God of Prophecy. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and riding motorcycles when he was able.

Surviving are: his mother, Mary “Lib” Collins of Bamberg; children, James Edward “Jamie” Bearden, Jr. and Charlie Zorn Bearden, both of Bamberg, and Sally Marie Stillinger, Courtney Dawn McElroy and Raven Elizabeth Louvier, all of Lexington; brothers, Clarence Wesley Bearden of Ehrhardt and Rev. Clyde Bearden of Bamberg; sister, Dianne Cooler of Olar; and 14 grandchildren.
