She retired from the State of South Carolina as Deputy Registrar for the Bureau of Vital Statistics for Colleton County.
Ms. Jackie was a woman of strong faith. She was a charter member of Edgewood Baptist Church and served the Lord faithfully for many years. She was known as a mighty prayer warrior and a woman of deep convictions.
She was a Sunday School teacher, Training Union teacher and director, served on the nominating committee, managed the church library, directed the church choir, and served in many other capacities in the church. She also taught with Prison Ministries, Migrant Ministries and on a missionary trip to Venezuela.
Her most beloved activities were teaching Sunday School and singing in the Church Choir. God gave her a beautiful alto voice which she used joyfully. She loved “jazzing up” hymns and would have wanted all of us to go our rejoicing that she is now with her Lord and Savior in a place with no pain and suffering.
