Mrs. J. Viola Fisk Caldwell, 99, of Lexington, formerly of Lodge, entered into her state of eternal rest Wednesday morning, November 11, 2009, at the NHC in Lexington after a long and loving life. She was the widow of Mr. Brantley Fisk and Mr. William Caldwell.



Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Saturday afternoon, November 14, 2009, from Carters Ford Baptist Church, 8774 Lodge Highway, Lodge with The Reverend Spencer Brothersom officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.



Mrs. Caldwell was born August 12, 1910 in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Joseph McMillan and the late Mary Letitia Bishop McMillan. She was a lifelong member of Carters Ford Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, sister and friend to all. She loved her home and her greatest joy was preparing meals for her family and those she loved.



She is survived by her daughters, Mary Lou Breland of Ruffin and Beverly Sterner of Columbia; as well as her sons, Derrell Fisk and his wife Beverly of Lodge and Gordon Fisk and his wife Shirley of Florence. There are nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Lois Fisk of Summerville and Carrie Lee Bennett of Charleston. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Brantley Fisk; two sisters, Zelma Padgett and Juanita Ramsey; and two brothers, Heber McMillan and William McMillan.



Flowers will be accepted, or for those that wish, the family has respectfully requested that friends make a charitable donation in her memory to: Carters Ford Baptist Church, Post Office Box 1, Lodge, South Carolina 29082.
