Mrs. Iva Lee Nora Stutts Headden, 93, of Hampton Street, Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Colleton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of the late Northern Headden.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Bedon Baptist Church, 2410 Cottageville Highway, Walterboro. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Born November 18, 1920 in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Thomas Stutts and Lanie Roberts Stutts. She had worked as a seamstress at the Taylor Shop on Parris Island Marine Corp Base, had worked at the Walterboro Dress Plant and had also been a waitress at the Glass House Restaurant. She was a member of Bedon Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Hattie Francis Sunday School Class, was a member of the Pearl Girls, and was also a member of the Health to You (H2U) Club at Colleton Medical Center. She was also a well-loved icon at the Walterboro A&M Skating Rink.

Mrs. Iva Lee was known far and wide for her delicious cakes and other baked goods. She was extremely talented in cake decorating and took great pride in the many wedding cakes she made throughout her years, as well as the many receptions she had catered. She was also famous for her homemade macaroni and cheese and roast beef.

Anyone who knew Mrs. Iva Lee, knew of the love she had not only for her family but for everyone she met. She always shared her home and her cooking, but most of all her kind and generous heart with anyone she could, never expecting anything in return.

Surviving are: her children, Lorine Headden Addison and her husband George of Cottageville, Joyce Headden Crosby and her husband H.E. of Walterboro, Joanne Headden Waldrop and her husband Theron of North Augusta, Alroy Headden and his wife Janis of Round O and Mitchell Headden of Walterboro; daughter-in-law, Dale Adkins Headden of Walterboro; brother, Harry Stutts of Walterboro; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Headden; daughter, Ruth Headden; sisters, Daisy Carson and Rosalee Faulkenberry; and brothers, VonLehe Stutts, Walter Stutts, and Charlie Stutts, Jr.
