Mrs. Ira Mae Coker Warren, 85, of Black Street, Walterboro, entered into rest Friday, March 21, 2014 at her residence. She was first married to the late Wilbur Coker, Sr. and secondly to the late Russell Warren.
Funeral services will be held 6 pm, Monday, March 24, 2014 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The interment will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at The Garden of Devotion Cemetery in Hemingway.
Born November 29, 1928 in Florence County and was a daughter of the late Heyward Filyaw and Ollie Bell Glisson Filyaw. She graduated from Johnsonville High School and was a member of Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was also a member of the Shriners Ladies Auxiliary, the Stormettes.
Surviving are: her son, Carroll Coker and his wife Veronica of Walterboro; grandchildren, Katrina Coker of Clover, Andrea Coker of Walterboro, Darrell Coker of James Island, Mary Nicole Dennis of Darlington, and Troy Cary of Napa, California; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Wilbur Coker, Jr. and Steve Coker; and a grandson, Ryan Coker
