Mrs. Inez Carter Grace Stelling, age 95, entered into her state of eternal rest Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Lowcountry Assisted Living in Ehrhardt. She was the widow of Mr. Joseph Arthur Grace, Sr. and the late The Reverend Ed Stelling.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 oclock Saturday morning, June 19, 2010, from Marion Baptist Church, 1810 George Warren Drive, Williams with The Reverend Kenny Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery, Williams.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service at Marion Church beginning at 10 oclock that morning until the service hour.
Mrs. Stelling was born April 23, 1915, in Williams, South Carolina and was a daughter of the late John Henry Carter and the late Mamie Sue OQuinn Carter. She was reared in Williams and spent many years of her life there before moving her home to Charleston with her husband the late Mr. Joseph A. Grace and after his death, married The Reverend Ed Stelling, who was the pastor of Charleston Harbor Baptist Church. She faithfully attended this church for many years before moving her membership to North Bridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Stelling had great affection for God, her family and yard work that she tended to daily before failing health declined her duties she loved.
Surviving are: two sons, Joe Arthur Grace, Jr. and his wife Eleanor of Williams and Wayne Keith Grace and his wife Harriet of Moncks Corner. There are seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren that also survive. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Grace; and a grandson.
