Mr. Eisenhower Wiggins, affectionately known by many as “Ike”, age 61, of Awendaw, entered into rest Sunday afternoon, February 28, 2016, at the Roper Hospital in Charleston.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning, March 5, 2016, from 11 o’clock until 12 noon at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel. Funeral services will follow that afternoon at 1 o’clock from the graveside in Wiggins Family Cemetery, located on the Lightsey Property off Highway 63 in Islandton.
Born February 23, 1955, a native of Colleton County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Charlie Wiggins and the late Runell Marsh Wiggins. Ike loved anything that was outdoors from fishing and hunting, to riding his bike on a nice sunshiny day.
Surviving are: two brothers, Charles K. Wiggins of Meggett and Charlie L. Wiggins of Hampton; three sisters, Mary Youmans of Spartanburg, Stella Heck of Tennessee, and Betty Jean Phillips of Spartanburg; and many nieces and nephews as well as his beloved caregiver, Jenneth Nelson and family.
