Hunter Blume

d. August 30, 2025

Ehrhardt, South Carolina

Mr. Edward Hunter Blume, 24, of Ehrhardt, entered into eternal rest August 30, 2025, at his residence.

Born April 30, 2001, in Orangeburg, he was the son of Edward H. Blume Jr. and Sarah Kinard Blume.  He loved to play video games, fishing, hunting, and his guns.  He liked to watch Long Mire with Cowboys and Indians (The Series).  He also enjoyed working with his hands and building anything he could.  Most of all, he enjoyed going places with Jessie and their children, riding in his truck down country dirt roads, and being with his friends.  Hunter was a very kind, good man, who would do anything for anyone that he could and give anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it.

Surviving are: his mother, Sarah Kinard Blume of Ehrhardt; his father, Edward Blume (Elizabeth) of Newnan, Georgia; his fiancé, Jessica Rose Gegg and her children that Hunter loved as his own, T. J. and Delilah Rose; grandmother, Jeanette O’Quinn Blume Driggers of Bamberg; sisters, Christy Dragneff (John) and Hayley Blume; brothers, Lance Blume (C.K.) and Robert Angsten (Lindsay); his nephew, Christopher; aunts, Patricia K. Thomas (Dannie), Deborah K. Bruner, and Zina S. Hiers; and uncles, Andy Blume (Mel Lyons) and Allen Blume (Mary Ann). Hunter is also survived by his cousins, Dannie “Gene” Thomas, Jr., Travis Thomas, Robert Thomas, Wallace Bruner, Tori Carter, Scarlett Kinard, Chandler Hiers, Robbie Kinard, and Michael Kinard.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Earl Kinard, Mary Erline Collins Kinard, and Edward H. Blume Sr.; uncle, Robert M. “Bobby” Kinard; and cousin, Earl Bruner

Ms. Sarah would like to thank Jessie Gegg and Brook Thomas for doing CPR and everything they could to try and save Hunter.
