Hicks Cornett, 95, of Walterboro, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday morning, July 28, 2020 at the Veterans Victory House in Walterboro.
Born March 30,1925 in Metcalf, Illinois, he was the son of the late Mr. Eley Cornett and the Mrs. Clara Cornklin Cornett. He graduated with a Masters Degree from the University of Illinois. "Mr. Hicks" was a retired school teacher in Illinois, where he also coached basketball and golf. Faithfully serving his country, he is a veteran of the United States Army.
Funeral service will be held at the Beaufort National Cemetery, Wednesday, August 5, 2020
