Biography
Mr. Herman James Carter, 92, of Gaston, formerly of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 15, 2012 at his residence. He was the husband of Ethel Morey Carter and was first married to the late Lorene Kinard Carter.
Mr. Carter was born August 8, 1920 in Walterboro and was a son of the late James Postell Carter and Janie Jordan Carter. He was a retired employee of JP Stevens Company. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in Gaston and a former member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Walterboro. He was a member of the Hudson Masonic Lodge #373 and the Community Chapter #206 Order of the Eastern Star.
A memorial service will be held 11 am, Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 4625 Highway 321, Gaston, SC.
