Herbert Williams

Mr. Herbert Lynn Williams, affectionately known to everyone as “Herbie”, 65, of Hampton, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, June 28, 2026, at his residence.

Born September 14, 1960, in Beaufort, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Earl Jerome Williams and Addie Mae Davis Williams. He was a member of Brunson Baptist Church. He worked alongside his brother-in-law, Eddie Sauls, for many years at Sauls Sub-Contracting, and had also worked for Fred Cope and Craig Gooding. He enjoyed fishing and most of all loved his family and had a strong work ethic.

Surviving are: his wife, Tammy Williams; children, Jerome Williams (Brittany) of Varnville and Bridget Williams (Deborah) of Hampton; 10 grandchildren whom he adored, Jeremiah, J.J., Joshua, Haleigh, Haiden, Allison, Brayleigh, Brooklyn, Ava, and Trinity; brothers, Roy Williams and Robert Williams; sisters, Barbara Williams, Dora Mae Smith, and Sherry Sauls; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Annie Lee Gibson, Mary Sauls, Jimmie Williams, and Juanita Tuten.

Funeral services will be held 5 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, July 2, 2026, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
