SIMMONS, HELEN
Mrs. Helen Lorraine "Nana" Simmons, 85, of Stanley Loop, Varnville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Tracy Simmons.
Funeral services will be held 4pm,Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Spirit of Life Ministries in Varnville. Interment will follow in Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery.
Mrs. Simmons was born February 17, 1927 in Jacksonville, Florida and was the daughter of the late Richard Jefferson Robertson and Jessie Wilson Robertson. She was a charter member of Spirit of Life Ministries, and a seamstress for sixty plus years. She will always be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, and friend.
Surviving are her children: Carol Graef and her husband Timothy of Cope, Patricia Bradshaw and her husband Terry of Bamberg, Ann Graef of Varnville, Brenda Wiggins of Hampton, Ricky Simmons and his wife Belinda of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jason Wiggins and his wife Ashley of Greenville and Justin Wiggins and his wife T.J. of Varnville. 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 8 great- great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her son , Johnnie Edmond Avant, Jr.
