Hazel Lee

Mrs. Hazel Daniels Lee, 84, of Augusta Highway, Round O, entered into rest Wednesday morning, January 30, 2013, at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She was the wife of the late Mr. George William Lee, Sr.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Saturday morning, February 2, 2013, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Dr. David Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at 2 o’clock that afternoon in Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston.

Born August 6, 1928, a native of Dunn, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late John L. Daniels and the late Annie McCall Daniels. She was a retired employee of the food service department of the Colleton County School District. She was a member of Maple Cane Baptist Church in Cottageville where she was also a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She will be fondly recalled for her love of flowers.

Surviving are: four sons, George W. Lee, Jr. of Round O, Mark E. Lee and his wife Debbie of Round O, Michael C. Lee of Lexington, and Robert Daniel Lee of Round O. There are three grandchildren, George William Lee, III of Round O, Brent Lee and Chad Lee both of Lexington; as well as two great grandchildren, Connor Lee and Kelsey Lee that also survive.

Flowers will be accepted, or for those that wish, the family has respectfully requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to: Maple Cane Baptist Church Building Fund, 21324 Augusta Highway, Cottageville, South Carolina 29435.
