Haskell C. Frasier, Jr.

Walterboro, South Carolina

Mr. Haskell Clarence Frasier, Jr., age 78, entered into rest Wednesday evening, December 16, 2020, surrounded by his family at his home in Walterboro while under the care of Amedisys Hospice.  He was the loving husband of the late Mrs. Elaine Welborn Frasier.

Born November 15, 1942, in Walterboro, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Haskell C. Frasier and the late Katherine New Frasier.  He served faithfully in the South Carolina National Guard.  Haskell was no stranger to hard work.  He worked for many years, alongside his late brother, owning Frasier Logging; and after that business venture he became the owner and operator of a trucking company.  He was also a home builder, having constructed his as well as numerous homes throughout the Lowcountry.   Family was his life.  He centered his life and his attention on those that he loved and was in so many ways, a gentle giant.  He was a Christian and worshiped at Victory Baptist Church in Walterboro.

Surviving are: his children, Donald Welborn and his wife Elizabeth of Cornelia, Georgia, Rita Frasier Pangalangan of Walterboro, Haskell C. Frasier, III of Walterboro, and Kathy Frasier Grym and her husband Alan of Walterboro; two sisters, Blenda F. Hodge and her husband Jerome of Walterboro and Jeanette Bailey and her husband Gerald of Walterboro; ten grandchildren, Brittany Grym, Alan Grym, III, Sean Lemoine, Haskell Jennings, Ashley Pangalangan, Elizabeth Clyde, Cagney Meads, Devin Welborn, Dillion Welborn and Meaghan Welborn; and four great grandchildren, Ezra Webb, Autumn Jennings, Madeline Leeman, and Kayden Pangalangan.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Roscoe Frasier, a sister, Helen Clark, and a granddaughter, Cristina Pangalangan.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon, December 19, 2020, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Pastor Jerome Hodge and Mr. David Smoak officiating.  Interment will follow on the family plot at Sandy Dam United Methodist Churchyard, 3422 Charleston Highway, Walterboro.
