Harry Freeman

Mr. Harry Wilbur Freeman, Jr., 86, of Hampton, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, November 10, 2024, at his residence.

Born August 11, 1938, in Hampton, he was the son of the late Harry Wilbur Freeman, Sr. and Hautie Cook Freeman Rivers.  He served his country in the South Carolina Army National Guard.  He was a retired inspector for Westinghouse/ Nevamar.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hampton.  Mr. Freeman loved coon hunting, fishing, fixing anything he could, and especially loved working in his yard.  He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are: his wife of 64 years, Glenda Brown Freeman of Hampton; children, Mike Freeman (Debra) of Hampton and Tami Freeman Harvey (Joe) of Bluffton; grandchildren, Erin Long (Rett) of Hampton, Matthew Walker (Brandi) of Grays, Kayla Freeman (Megan) of Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Rich Long, Maddox Long, Ryder Dean, Mavryh Dean, Lizzy Jo Freeman, Gage Smiley, and Carter Smiley; two bonus great grandchildren, Charlee Kinard and Carter Kinard; sister, Jackie Matthews of Pooler, Georgia; sister-in-law, Dot Freeman of Hampton; brother-in-law, Bobby Thigpen of Summerville; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Freeman; and sisters, Martha Ann Jenny and Linda F. Thigpen.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, November 16, 2024, at Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery, Country Club Road, Hampton,
