Harry Carter

Sergeant Harry Mindel Carter, United States Air Force (Ret.) age 96, a longtime resident of Ehrhardt, South Carolina, entered into rest Tuesday morning, December 14, 2021, at the Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, Arizona.  He was the husband of the late Mary Jane Lazarus Carter.

Born July 21, 1925, in Smoaks, South Carolina, he was a son of the late William and Effie Mae Linder Carter.  He served our country faithfully in the United States Air Force until his retirement after twenty years of service.   He also worked until his second retirement from the Department of Defense where he worked as a crew chief.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 Wednesday morning, December 22, 2021 from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Ehrhardt.   Interment will follow in Little Swamp United Methodist Churchyard, Hunter’s Chapel Road, Smoaks.
