WALTERBORO " Mr. Harold Robert Pitts, age 71, of 310 Enterprise Street in Walterboro, died Monday morning, June 30, 2008, in Walterboro.



Funeral services will be conducted 6 oclock Thursday evening, July 3, 2008, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro with The Reverend Daniel Cooper officiating.



Mr. Pitts was born September 21, 1936, in Charleston, and was a son of the late Drew Carey Pitts and the late Ruby Hayward Pitts. He was the retired owner of Speedy Plumbing in Walterboro and was a member of Living Word Outreach Ministries in Walterboro. He will be remembered for his love of weight lifting in his younger years as well as spending time at the beach.



Surviving are: his daughters, Laurie Ann Gressette and her husband Harry, Barbara Miller and Lisa Pitts; a brother, William Carlton Pitts; and four sisters, Evelyn C. Seagraves, Sylvia R. Michaurd, Vonita D. Frazer, and June C. Brinson. There are eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren that also survive as well as his

companion Mrs. Maxine Hutto and her family. He was preceded in death by brothers, George W. Pendarvis, Carl L. Pitts, Charles Raymond Pitts, and Norman E. Pitts: and a sister, Mary E. Knox.
