Harold "Bo" Harmon

Mr. Harold “Bo” Harmon, 85, of Hampton, entered into eternal rest Friday, June 7, 2013 at his residence. He was the devoted husband of the late Thomasine Harper Harmon.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Monday, June 10, 2013 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in Sandy Run Cemetery.

Mr. Harmon was born August 11, 1927 in Darlington, SC and was a son of the late William Howard Harmon and Edna Irene Edwards Harmon. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a retired pipe fitter from Daniels Construction. He enjoyed growing watermelons, shrimping and fishing, and was an expert pool player. He will be remembered most as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving are: his children, Kathryn “Kathy” Bain and her husband Dennis of Ruffin and Robert H. “Bob” Harmon and his wife Brenda of Hampton; daughter-in-law, Vivian Johnson of Hampton; special friend, Sonja Simmons of Hampton; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William T. “Tommy” Harmon; and a sister, Betty Poe.
