Miss Hali Marie Avant, affectionately known as “Toot”, entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Medical University of South Carolina.
Funeral services will be held 3 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon, July 20, 2016 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
Hali was born July 10, 2007 at the Medical University Hospital in Charleston and was the oldest daughter of Timothy James Avant, Jr. and Whitney Metts Avant. She was a rising fourth grader at Forest Hills Elementary School in Walterboro. Hali was a true Disney Princess. She traveled to Walt Disney World, the place where dreams do come true, and for her and her family, that is exactly what happened. Since day one on this Earth, her courageous love and tender spirit won the hearts of everyone through her inspiring journey, and though she may be gone from us for a period, we all know she is safely in the arms of her loving Savior.
Surviving are: her parents, T.J. and Whitney Avant of Round O; her little sister, Bryson “Bryce” Avant of Round O; grandparents, Timmy and Kay Avant of Walterboro, Ronald Metts of Walterboro, and Allison and Greg Neal of Bloomingdale, Georgia; great grandparents, Martha DeWitt of Walterboro, Maggie Lee Metts of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Gwen Crosby of Walterboro; uncles, Hunter Metts (Jordan Brown) and Brandon Avant; and aunt, Skylar Avant. She is also survived by a host of loving cousins, friends, and other family members.
