Guy Lavern Crosby

Mr. Guy LaVern Crosby, 71, of Hickory Hill Road, Varnville, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at his residence.

Graveside funeral services will be held 1 pm, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Sandy Run Cemetery.

Mr. Crosby was born September 7, 1941 in Grays and was a son of the late Judson Crosby and Honoree Mole Crosby. He was a retired auto mechanic and loved fishing and sitting on his porch.

Surviving are: his children, Constance Jarrell of Brunson and Franklin Nix of Grays; grandchildren, Beth Cook of Estill, Axl Cook of Ridgeland, Hilton Nettles of Brunson and Morgan Jarrell of Brunson; brothers, Hillard Crosby and his wife Sherry and Donny Crosby and his wife Judy; sisters, Bessie C. Johnson and Nell Hadwin; and sisters-in-law, Lela Mae Crosby and Sandra Chassereau. He was preceded in death by brothers, Fred Crosby and Rogers Crosby; and sister, Irma P. Rentz.
