Mrs. Gustie Kinsey Sineath, 94, of 989 Mears Road, Islandton, died Monday evening, February 2, 2009, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Mr. Leland Sineath.



Funeral services will be conducted 1 oclock Friday afternoon, February 6, 2009, from Peniel Baptist Church, 37 Forks Road, Islandton, with The Reverend Terry Hiers and The Reverend Tom McJunkin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.



Mrs. Sineath was born September 15, 1914, in Islandton, and was a daughter of the late Willie and Ruth Walker Kinsey. She was the oldest member of Peniel Baptist Church where she was formerly active in many aspects of the churchs work. Mrs. Gustie will be remembered by many in the Islandton and Walterboro communities for her love of the outdoors, every season tending to her garden which she possessed much love for, and her loving and giving character.



Surviving are: a granddaughter, Charla S. Cook and her husband Steve of Islandton; and three great grandchildren, Orry, Ryan, and Molly Cook. She was preceded in death by her only child, The Reverend Charles L. Sineath and a granddaughter, Carman Lynn Sineath.



Flowers will be accepted, or for those that wish, the family has suggested that memorials be directed in her memory to the cemetery fund of Peniel Baptist Church, care of Mildred Smith, 3300 Rum Gully Road, Islandton, SC 29929.
